Master of Arts Communications/ Theatre

Bachelors of Science Communications

I am blessed with a wonderful wife named Olivia and four great children.  Sean is our eldest and he is lucky to have three little sisters that look up to him.  Eleanor, Chloe, and Lilyana are full of character and keep their older brother on his toes.+

I finished my undergraduate work at Central in 2005 with a major in Communications with an emphasis in Speech/ Theatre and a minor in Ministry.  During my time at CCC I was blessed with the opportunity of directing four student productions: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged, The Complete History of American Abridged, A Toby Show, and Fisheyes.  I was then given the opportunity to direct the spring production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in my last semester.

I then went on to finish a Master of the Arts in Communications with a focus in Theatre at Kansas State University.  During my time at K-State I wrote a non-fiction play as a part of my thesis called Faces from War.  This was a collection of interviews taken from WWII soldiers and a concentration camp survivor.  Faces paints a picture of what it was really like to be there and experience the war first hand.

I started teaching at CCC in the Fall of 2007, and took over lead of the Communications and Theatre programs in the Fall 2010.  Since my time here I have had the privilege of teaching and directing some amazing actors and students.

  1. It was a great play, Chris. There was a perfect balance of tension and reverential confession as the stories were told. <3 Are you working on another? (Chloe and Sean are writing plays and maybe the other kiddos also!)
